Association Saikorian has been funding its activities
of “Project Krushi” from contributions
received from the Members, Friends, Corporate
Entities and the Community, both in India and
abroad. UNICEF had funded the project for rehabilitation
of the children for two years. (It is the policy
of the UNICEF to fund any project for only one
year).
The Association firmly believes that people
will certainly chip in with help - financial
and non-financial, once they realize that some
good work is being done. The expenditure on Project
Krushi has gone up from around Rs.8,000 per month
in 1995 to the present level of around Rs. 0.320
mil per month, excluding expenditure on capital
works. It may be mentioned here that all the
Saikorians work for Project Krushi on an honorary
basis, meeting the expenditure on travel and
communication out of their own pockets.
No organization can sustain itself and grow
form strength to strength without the active
and wholehearted
support of a whole lot of individuals and Organisations.
Saikorians have been consistently chipping
in with their personal contributions and
contributions
from their friends, relatives and business
associates. A large chunk of support is from
people, who
get to know about the good work that is being
done and chip in with their contributions whether
it is in cash, kind or time. Ambitious new
projects have been taken on and funds requirement
is going
to shoot up. The running expenditure for the
year 2009-10 is estimated at around Rs. 3.60
mil.
It may be noted that, Association Saikorian
is a Charitable Society registered under
Section 12 A and 80 G of the Income Tax Act,
with the
Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh
and
is also registered with the Ministry of Home
Affairs, New Delhi for receiving contributions
from abroad.
