Our story of empowering children

The Alumni of Sainik School Korukonda who having benefited from the excellent all round education at their alma mater, undertook the onerous task of “giving back to the Society”. Inspired by the advice and motivation of the founder Principal, Cdr Almeida, the Association is deeply involved in a number of socially relevant and socially beneficial projects. Project Krushi and Campus Challenge are two iconic institutions being run by the Association.

Project Krushi,a home for children in difficult circumstances, is the flagship project undertaken by the Hyderabad Chapter of the Association located at Gowdavelli Village in Medchal Mandal of Medchal-Malkajgiri District. Through Project Krushi we also provide direct assistance to a number of rural Government schools with additional staff, infrastructure and educational facilities and material to improve the standard of education in the region.

Krushi Home with a humble beginning in 1992 in a rented house in Methodist Colony of Begumpet is now housed in its own premises on 2.5 acre land amidst verdant greenery in an aesthetically and ergonomically constructed building which is fully environment friendly with a solar energy plant providing all its power needs and a water recycling plant which enables it to recycle all its waste water.
